Hello all.
This is my very first post although I have been reading what you all post for a while. I need some help with a 32inch HDTV choice, I have just about got a basic understanding of what to look for but need some advice before handing over the hard earned readys, I am worried that I might have missed something really obvious! Ok here is the short list as far as I can tell:

1) Philips 32PF7520D
2) Sony KDLS32A12
3) Panasonic TX32LXD52 - Has a digital tuner.
4) SamsungLE32R51BD
5) LG RZ32LZ55 - Has the highest lux of 600cd/m2 but no remote? The reviews have been ok for this TV.
6) Toshiba 23WLT58

If anyone has any comments about these TVs I would really appreciate it.
I plan on getting sky+ (not the HD one yet) and using the TV for gaming and watching sport.

So the question is with £1200 what would you get and why?
Thanks very much, I look forward to what you have to say.

I've got the 26" version of the Samsung you mention, and have been very happy (the model you quote has a digital tuner, this is indicated by the 'D'). Picture quality through the built in Freeview tuner is spot on, and I've briefly ran it through Sky+ which looked good too.

You don't list your location, but a shop near me has this TV factory reconditioned for £799 (there's some 41s too which are almost identical other than the traingles at the bottom).

I'd double check that the LG has no remote, that certainly doesn't sound right.

I'd check them all for connectivity, be careful that a TV can be HD Ready despite having no HDMI and/or needing an adaptor for component (used for most DVD players/recorders and XBox 360). The more connectivity the better.

Of course the best thing to do is try and see them all in action, connected to the source you're going to be using them on. The 23" version of the Sammy is on all XBox 360 demos (Microsoft surely wanted to show the console off).

Thanks Russel,

I have just looked at a Dell TV: W3202MC for about £1200, now this is getting confusing!

There's some of reports of the Dell at www.avforums.com The only review for a Dell LCD I can find is 6/10, but that's a different model.
