Is Motorola U6 PEBL on Orange any good?
I'm used to Nokia's but like the look of the Motorola U6 PEBL just released on Orange. I'm worried about going over to Motorola and their system after a bad experience of Motorola's some years ago.
Has anyone got any feedback they can give on the phone, especially if they were a recent Nokia user? Thanks. |

Isn't this a V3 in a new shell?
I think they are the same for features. Memory is pants at 5mb, but it could be expandable? |

I was tossing up between the U6/V6 Pebl and the Razr very recently and went for the Razr in the end as it has far more features. Another thing that put me off the Pebl was (having not handled one) I read a review that said it was approx the size of a bar of soap, which seemed quite big to me (guess it depends on what soap you use!).
I think the only interesting thing about this phone is the dual hinge, but I was worried that there may be some teething probs with this as it's not been used before (how well would it stand up to frequent use? etc). Check out http://www.mobileburn.com/gallery.js...source=BROWSER for comments, I have a Razr v3 with video recorder enabled now, which I love. If you are still pondering this, ask yourself if you can wait another couple of weeks to get the 3G version of the V3, the V3x - this is meant to be one fantastic phone! I was trying to hang on, but I got too impatient! And having had a 3G nokia handset, I found that I didn't use the services anyway. Sarah |

Having seen several dummy handsets now, If the real thing is hinged or magnetically held together in the same way it's going to be a disapointment. The keypad seemed to be quite tacky and foil like to compared to the V3.
Its probably an occasional phone, not one for everyday. Hope the real thing is better. As a guess half an hour in a busy shop for a dummy phone is probably like 1month of personal ownership and day to day use. On the other hand its good to see a manufacturer trying somthing different. |

It reminds me of the pager I used to have about twelve years ago. Hardly cutting edge design.
Personally, after six years in the mobile phone industry, I'd avoid Motorola at any cost. |

Have only had one Motorola, the A1000, so it wasnt a standard Moto mobile in that it uses the Symbian OS. Had no problems with it and would say no to the new 3G V3x. I am thinking of a new handset in January/February time it will definatly one on the list.

(excluding the latest wave of fashion phones) Ideal for business users. Never had a problem with Moto's probably because none of mine had any exciting features.
