My best ones not in any order are

Phil and Grant River thames car crash- EastEnders

Plane crash - Emmerdale

Millenium Club Explosion - Brookside

Steve/Phil car chase and explosion - EastEnders

Trevor and Tom's death in house fire - EastEnders

I think Grant and Phil's plunge in the thames was terrible. You could see the rope attached to the car when it went in .

I liked the Black Swan blowing up in Family Affairs.
The bus crash in Hollyoaks.
Maya's revenge on the shops in Corrie.

Emmerdale has the best. The Plane Crash. The storm. The sugden car crash. Zoe Tate blowing up home farm..

But they done that and no one died apart from Lynne's baby. I didnt see the point of that, they could have got rid of some dead wood.

The Lassiders Fire in Neighbours was the best I've seen in a long while.

Other than that, Tom/trevor house fire in EE
Steve Owen's Death
Mad Maya

But it's better and more gripping if it does happen!

Yeah. Maybe that would have boosted the ratings because that was during their slump.

I think soaps should leave the disasters to Emmerdale.

I hate it when British soaps do "spectacular" scenes like explosions and crashes. They always look lame to me, not to mention desperate.

I didn't find the Richard Hillman's crash into the canal desperate, not only was it a fitting end to an excellent storyline, but it was also believable. I like the fact that he when he was driving he said he was killing them all so they could be together forever. Fitted in with the character very well, as opposed to him just coming across as pure evil which they could have easily done. Maybe Mad Maya was a bit OTT but it was great to watch.
