Firewire/rgb to component converter

Six months ago I bought a slimline CRT 32" Samsung HDTV and I'd love to see what it looks like running HD. Is there anyway I can hook up my Apple iBook G4 (or PC) with firewire or usual video out to the component input on the TV? I've seen a couple of adapters retailing in the US, only one will run PC out but that's $199 - any ideas welcome NEWBIE

Surely it doesent matter if it supports Mac or PC, Thats going to be for the capture software, you will just be using it to convert from firewire to Component.

If you wanted to capture from analogue to firewire via the Mac, just buy some software for the Mac.

mentions Mac.
