This may have been mentioned before... but I smell a very smelly rat in the expensive sunglasses that have been worn by the housemates in this year's Big Brother.

Even Jade is wearing a pair of designer Gucci sunglasses that she probably couldn't have afforded in a million years.

I imagine when Kate damaged hers, she probably was at least partly upset about how expensive an item she broke.

Why shouldn't Jade be able to afford her sunglasses?

She's got a decent job, shares a council flat with her mother and it's claimed by her mother that she doesn't drink much outside of the BB house.

Jade probably earns just as much as Kate, who worked as an IT helpdesk operator (or something v similar) before coming into the house.

kate used to work in a supermarket in beckenham , kent stacking shelves and i know they pay big yearly bonuses so maybe thats how she paid for hers.

They all could have afforded them. They all had jobs. I think it's quite natural to go OTT when going to be on a TV prog.

I know girls that have killed themselves financially to buy something nice for a special night out never mind a TV prog with millions of people looking at you and people like a lot of people on this site analyzing every move they make.

i am also of the opinion that the housemates have somehow been 'sponsered' by glasses companies - it seems a bit suspicious that they all have designer shades which really suite them......even more odd that BB agreed to replace Kates when they were broken

If they're sponsored, Gucci or whoever makes them wouldn't have been too happy when Kate broke hers, burst into tears and then said it was daft to get upset about a pair or tacky sunglasses.

..or maybe the kind of people who crave attention and consider themselves outgoing and trendy enough to get on to big brother are the same people who are likely to have attention seeking and trendy sunglasses.....
