Tonight whilst watching one of my absolutely *treasured* recordings I have discovered that occasionally it is starting to stick!
Horror of horrors! Now, I have always treated these discs like gold dust so I'm pretty sure it's down to the DVD recorder rather than the DVD and it looks like - for the first time ever - I'm going to have to start looking at DVD lens cleaners. What are they like, how do they work and which would you recommend? (And are there any risks with cheaper ones? Could they make a problem worse by leaving residue or anything?) Thanks.

). Also, I bought a DVD series off eBay and that skipped something terrible (perhaps to be expected, but I did contact the seller and he was prepared to send me a replacement) AND my copy of 'The 39 Steps' was reported here to have sound and vision problems that I'd only just noticed AAAAAAAAAAND I recently ordered 'Tales Of The City' on DVD and TWO copies of IT have sound and vision problems (but strangely my new copy of 'Titanic' has none whatsoever
). So you don't think I should go for one then? (I do remember treating my old video to a good old scrub up with a Scotch video head cleaner many years ago and yes, that WAS a disaster - put me off their videotapes for life!)
