If u have duded to the DVDRW in video format just make a folder on your pc and copy all of the contents of that DVDRW into that folder.

Sorry for my ignorance but I now have a folder containing 2 files - video_rm and video_ts.

How do I now play it?

Hey something I actually know stuff about. You should be able to play the video file by clicking on one of the menu icons within the TS/RM folder. This is a very messy way to do things though - if like me you want to turn a DVD into a nice clickable video file on your PC you'll need some software - I use Media Factory 4 which imports the DVD in it's original quality. Then I can either rename the file and put it in My Videos folder - one click heaven, or burn a new DVD compilation with menus and all that fancy stuff.

I also use DVD Copy 4..

This will copy your DVD into SVCD, VCD, DivX and WMV, which are of lesser quality and size. And of course NERO burning Suite is very popular.

Go here and get the Klite Codec pack, this gives you the amzing Media Player Classic and will play just about everything you can throw at it. And it's FREE!!
