I have some right dodgy tunes on my iPod. Examples include sloppy Diana Ross ballads, Bazza Manilow, Whitesnake, Shirley Bassey, Tony Christie, The Spice Girls and Steps. What's more, they are the ones I listen to the most.

LOL. Erasure were sooo cool when I first started going to discos and all the boys used to have the same "dance" - thumbs in belt hooks and jerk about like their brogues were on fire.

I know, I know. It's that one "Is This Love". Can't believe I've admitted this on the worldwide web.

Were you going to mention your love of Richard Harris's "McCarther Park" then Pants...?

Hmmmm. I love 'Never had a dream come true' by (oh the shame) S Club 7.

And I love a couple of Atomic Kitten songs, namely The Last Goodbye and It's OK. Considering I am well known for liking Rock, Soul, HipHop etc I shall hang my head in shame....

One of my obsessions a few months back was Cliff Richard - Something is going on.

You wouldn't believe the cheesy drivel I have on my PC!

I have a real weakness for melodic, corny bubblegum pop.
Just off the top of my head I love the following songs:

Steps- One For Sorrow
Bucks Fizz - The Land of Make Believe
The Nolans- In The Mood for Dancing
The Pointer Sisters- Im So Excited
Europe- The Final Countdown
Falco - Rock Me Amadeus

One song I cannot stop playing at the moment is Day Trip To Bangor by Fiddlers Dram "Didn't we have a lovely time, the day we went to Bangor"

The Nolan's "I'm In The Mood For Dancing" is a classic! makes me want to shake my shimmy onto that dance floor everytime I hear it!

good thread

Sleeping Satellite (Tasmin Archer)-I think it always sounds quite sad but my mates laugh at it and I have to pretend I hate it.
Alot of Michael Jackson stuff-esp the Thriller album
I love the Pet Shop Boys 80s stuff, that always gets laughed at.
Also general cheese, Destiny's Child, Xtina, JT, Sugababes, Girls Aloud.

Some oldies that are a bit dodgy can become cool again with a bit of remixing

My guilty pleasure is pop music from the 1970s - a lot of which is sampled in today's music
I have vague memories of him in the 1970s wearing a massive kaftan and warbling something like, 'Forever and ever and ever I'll be with you'. My mum thought he was great!

B52's - Love Shack

If you see a faded sign at the side of the road that says 15 miles to the... Love Shack!

Nothing wrong with a bit of Kenny, I love the gambler and Lucille. Is that wrong to admit. We all know someone who looks like Kenny be it male or female.

I grew up around the Steps, S Club and Spice Girls era so I still have all that stuff & I still love it. I like Peter Andre, "Mysterious Girl". I have a Vengaboys album and does anyone remember allSTARS (I have that album too) they were a bit of a flop but I liked them.
