Hi Guys,

I was thinking since this lovely story was so well recieved on here that it would be nice to put it into a more readable format and send it to the nice people at the BeeB/ITT.

Obviously all you contributers must agree, not going to do anything behind your backs. So let me know here what you think.

Star.

I have no problem with that at all. Are you happy to do editing, or do you want me to do it?

I have no problems with my parts being sent out. It was great fun.

If you need any help with editting and such, do let me know. I am an ICT teacher in RL so I should know how to do it!

No problem, I will enjoy doing it.

But I need 4 Antonlover names to go into the cast list (I don't think we ever used Mary did we? )

So who are the top 4 Antonlovers?

I know I didn't post a message on thie Pride and Prejudice thingy - I'm not a very literate person and have never read it... *gulp*

Please don't hit me with sticks.

But I would happily be an Antonlover....

You have my full and undying permission to post my addition to the story Fab idea... I'm sure it'll give the ITT team a good laugh - it was excellent to read

And in case I didn't already mention: I FINISHED MY LAST EXAM TODAY!

Happyfeet, congratulations! I'm new to these threads, so don't know your history. What are you studying?
happyfeet
09-12-2005
Ummm (I get a bit embarassed saying but), I was doing my Finals, amd a fifth year medical student at Cambridge, but if I pass, then I guess I'll be a doctor... which oh my gosh sounds sooo weird!
fern3
09-12-2005
Embarassed? I would shout it from the rooftops if I were you.
happyfeet
09-12-2005
Mmm but I dunno it sounds ever so pretentious and hmm I think sometimes people just have preconceived ideas about certain degrees and universities. I don't mind my mum going on about it (as she does) but if I say, it sounds like I'm boasting or something so I tend not to say unless pressed specifically. Anyway, hopefully not much longer as a student: results in 7 days

Then I think in 7 days you will be Veryveryveryhappyfeet.

What happens then? When do you start "working", if you see what I mean? (not suggesting you have been lazy for the last 5 years).

Heehee, umm (I'm sure peeps reading the boards are sick of hearing about my life bu anyway)... if I pass then graduation ceremony is 28th January. I have 2 years of jobs lined up from August back home in South Yorkshire, but I'm going to try to get a 6 month post from February so that I can support my family (mi mum and siblings)... but if I fail then resits are in May so I'll be able to start my August job in time too.

On topic, how's the editing of the story going? I love Austen I liked the recent film version more than I thought I would but it still wasn't a patch on the 1995 BBC version.

Editing going well. Great fun. It really is just adding lots of punctuation, and cutting out a teensy bit where there was a double post. I'm ashamed to say that although I have read the book, nearly everything I remember is from the TV series. Even got the video out to remind myself of the sequence of things.

Been trying to think of another thread that would work.

Stictly Full Monty?
Strictly Dallas & Dynasty? (You are too young)
Shadow70

I'd like The Strictly Breakfast Club

starring:
Brendan as John Bender (the bad boy)
Anton as Andrew (the popular boy)
Lilia as Claire (the popular girl)
Claudia as Alison (the wierd girl)
Craig RH as Principle Vernon
Bruno as Carl the Janitor
and a vacancy for Brian the nerdy kid.

(is it worrying that I can remember the characters from a 20 year old film?)

The only problem is

1. A lot of you might be too young to remember this film
2. I am not creative enough to help with the writing myself.

The breakfast club is not a film that I remember, which is odd because I am old enough. What was I doing 20 years ago to have missed it?
happyfeet
09-12-2005
Aha... I love The Breakfast Club - it's your classic 'cult classic' so to speak.
I do remember Dallas and Dynasty. I remember watching it as a little un with mum and big sis - it's all a bit hazy, but isn't it weird seeing Emma Samms on Doctors now? Odd to say the least.

Other stories to adapt... well there are just so many classics, but seen as there seem to be some Enid Blyton fans, then how about Mallory Towers or even better, The Faraway Tree series?
fern3
09-12-2005
Enid Blyton would work very well. Claudia could take virtually any part!

09-12-2005
what about strictly does wayne's world - Brendon and Anton as the main characters!!
happyfeet

Images of them with long wigs... it's like an oxymoron in visual form... heeheehee
