Is that the GDB3 from Argos for £39.99? I was going to buy one of those, but didn't think it had RF out, i thught it just had RF loop. I can't use scarts on my TV in the bedroom, so need RF out.
Thanks and Merry Christmas to you. |

I just saw this on that website:
'On most Freeview boxes, you're provided with a loopthrough (an aerial in and out), so you can connect your aerial to your TV via the Freeview box. Just make sure your box has an RF loopthrough and / or an RF modulator.' So a loopthrough is the same thing as in and out, but a modulator is something different? Is it a modulater you need if you're not using scarts? |

Another option to using a Freeview box with its own RF modulator, is to used an old/cheap VCR with a SCART in and RF out to do the modulation. It does not sound like your VCR has this functionality though but it maybe worth a little investigation. |

I have a Hitatchi TV with 2x scarts, a Bush DVD with one scart and a Bush VCR with one scart, and the other day I bought a Freeview box with 2 scarts, and I set it up like this and it works perfectly;
http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/images/faq_connect.gif Then my DVD just plugs in direct from it's scart to the second scart socket on my TV, independant of the freeview box/vcr set up. I'm guessing with yours if you connect your DVD player to AV2 on your TV then do the rest like in the picture I linked to, it should work fine. |
