How kate has risen from one of the most unpopular housemates to win BB to the Most popular. she is by far the most popular to win so far . she proved that by reveiving the least votes for eviction when herself, johnny and adele were up for eviction. also when she was up against PJ he receive a staggering 81% of the votes to be evicted and kate with 19%

She's my current fave too, but to be honest she's just the best of a bad bunch

I really think she's done well for herself... perhaps its just the others looking so bad, but in that enviroment - to have looked so good (imo anyway) is just amazing.

She's showed an incredible amount of patience and sense of fun - the first female winner - I hope so.

Will the channel 4 edit reflect this though?

I'll put myself on the line here, whilst a long while ago I had no views on Kate, after seeing her cope with three weeks on the poor side with no complaint (and actually coping with it better than anyone else) she gained my respect. The humour she has shown since then has added to my opinion of her. The only thing that has made me hesitate towrds her (and it was only a hesitation) was her attitude towards Jade in both nudity events - if I'd been there I'd not have let it happen, nor been involved in it. She will have to answer to that. However, Jade is her own person and has ultimate responsibilty for both of those occasions, not Kate. Other than that Kate has been fantastic - she has got involved, tried to befriend every other housemate, put in the hard graft (much more than many others), been sociable, entertained, got involved with the house community, been tolerant (Jade), been compassionate (Jonny, Tim and Jade), listened, laughed, kept away from dispute, not bitched (she's spoken her feelings, but I really don't think she's bitched like Adele/Jade/Alex), tried to resolve disagreements (the recent house split), rarely been moody, not acted to the camera's per se (honestly, I think she's just trying to enjoy the time there, and really isn't playing to the cameras) .... I could go on (and be boring lol).

Out of all the housemates she has gained my most respect. All of them have faults ( Kate and me included), but I honestly feel she has done the most in the house to deserve to win.

Agree with everything that has been said as Jonny said tonight - a toast to kate the first female winner of Big brother!

What put me off Kate was last Saturday in the pool with Kate and Jonny .... when Kate helped Jonny to strip Jade of her bikini

She (Kate) went down 20 notches in my estimatation ... Jonny down another 15 (cos I don't expect anything but this kind of behaviour from him)

Where as Alex tonight said some incredibly nasty things to Jade and bounced up and down on his bed as she left crying... How many notches did he go down? Probably none.

i certainly can't beat it and wouldn't even try to. the time may come, over the next week, to try and forward the address for that to many threads on forum. i hope that you choose to do so because IF (and after tonight i think it is an, IF) alex stays in then the virtiol will increase. your post, unlike ashamedly some of mine, avoids this tendency and constitutes reasoned fact, coupled with opinion (no-one can say fairer, unfortunately some will still try to).
