Delete recording - frozen box and lost record list
Boinng
10-12-2005
My mother-in-law has had a Thomson for about six months now, and tells me that on three or four occasions, deleting watched programmes from her record list has completely frozen the box. Worse still, when she eventually resets the power, all her recordings have been lost.

I've found a couple of mentions of this in the main 1.7.7 thread, but it seems to have been glossed over - presumably it's not that common a problem. Has anyone found any cure for this, or is it just to be expected? I don't think she should have to put up with it personally, so I'm inclined to tell her to take it back to Comet for a refund and get a Fusion, unless anyone knows better?

The one time that this seemed to have happened to me was where I hit delete, nothing came back so I hit it a few more times (hence the deleted record history!)

Perhaps (tactfully!), suggest that she makes sure that she does only press the red button once. If nothing happens, don't press red again, just press exit.
