Thanks go to these four couples for having made this such an exciting series. They have all done incredibly well and have worked extremely hard and all deserve their place in the semi-final. May the best dancers go through to the Final!!Someone has to be voted out tonight and there'll be sadness and frustration at the decision, whoever it is. But this is just to say "Well done" to you all for getting this far! Whoever leaves can do so with their heads held high for having achieved this much, for having entertained the nation and for helping to raise money for charityl.

Tonight is the firm's do, and there is no way of getting out of it.
So the SkyPlus box is set, the children have been bribed so they don't tell me the result before I've watched the show, and I'm going to be watching Strictly Come Dancing plus results at around 0l:00am.
My husband thinks I'm obsessed and mad, so I had to make my first post to people who understand - YOU LOT.

TOTALLY UNDERSTAND!!! I'm also out tonight and I've set up the living room video (Plan A), PLUS my bedroom video as a back-up, (Plan B) just in case... There was a brief power-cut in my area during the daytime recently and I live in dread that it might happen again tonight and I end up with NO TAPE. That would be a disaster!!! (That's got me thinking...I might ask my mum to tape it for me, too, as another back-up (Plan C)....just in case....!!)

Gritty and Indya, had I read your posts at the start of series two, I'd have thought you were totally over-the-top nuts.

But how I understand what you mean now - I would be spitting if anything happened to stop me seeing tonight's show.

I think I'd even have to consider a plan D at this stage!

Can't get out of going out tonight, Mr AK's works Xmas do, but anyone who tells us the result before we watch it in a drunken stupor at 2am tomorrow morning will be beaten to the ground immediately with a wet haddock

I've now got by Plan B and Plan C in place, and I threatened the children with the wet haddock!
I know this is pathetic but I'm already sad that when I will be watching it, somewhere a celeb/pro will be tucked up in bed disappointed that they didn't make the final.

Never underestimate the power of the wet haddock

So excited about tonight. Can hardly contain myself.
This show has it all: Family Entertainment, Rollercoaster, Drama, Crooked Judges (which I'm not always too happy about) and just good fun and dancing.
I'm seriously hooked and actually made sure we had no plans for tonight. Boyf. and I are staying in tonight and will watch it live.
Well he may watch soccer on some other TV-set. The livingroom is reserved for me and some of our friends (i.e. fellow SCD addicts).

I think tonight will have it all: suspense, frustration and sheer happiness
Hopefully at the end of the night I'll be sweet when I know James & Camilla are through (along with Darren/Lillia and ) Honestly it's all possible still

Just to re-iterate the sentiments expressed by Indya, at the start of this thread.

Good luck to all the couples taking part in tonight's semi-final.

No matter who actually gets through to next week, they are all worthy of our thanks; for providng us with such wonderful entertainment over the weeks, our respect; for all the hard effort they have devoted to the series & for having taken the rough with the smooth of it with such good humour & our admiration; for having made so many of us see ballroom dancing in a new light.

It's also worth mentioning that to get to the semi finals is an achievement in itself.

can't wait for tonight. i should really be revising for an exam on tuesday but SCD is just far too exciting to miss. i can't record it cos have no recorder which is a nightmare and would be laughed at if i asked my sisters to record it for me, and i doubt my mum can work the machine i will just have to rely on my memory of it until the next series.

As I said at the start of this thread, congrats to all 4 couples but I REALLY want Darren and Lilia to go through, too! The results show is going to be FULL of tension. That music, the spotlights on the couples, the lo-o-o-ng pause before each name is called out. The suspense is worse than any Alfred Hitchcock movie....!!
