Is it Ballroom dancing or showdance?

Can we really call it ballroom dancing? Could any of the celebrities cope if they came to the local ballroom dance with say 20 other couples on the floor. I think not.
They are just programmed to dance a set routine with no other couples on the floor. therefore it is a show dance.
So why have judges marking ability. No need. As it is show-dance just pick the couple that looks flashiest.
If it was a proper ballroom dance comp they should all be on the floor together and using FLOORCRAFT like us mere mortals use every time we hit the dance floor.
Would make it more exciting and the prize could go to the last couple standing.

Possibly due to the, sometimes, woeful camera work we've seen on the group dances? Even during the individul performances, the camera angles that have been selected can have a tendency to make it impossible to see the dance itself; though the large number of close-ups are great for anyone out there wishing to look for new ideas for make-up & hair dos.

So have you picked up any ideas for a makeover for yourself GLen? Patsy's curly wig or Zoe's blonde pony tail?
