Had the machine about a month now - experienced a few teething problems, which has been sorted by you guys. Now though, I appear to have a more serious problem.

I have items on the HDD and I wish to dub them to DVD. I do this no problem, then comes to finalising the disc.

If I just go to the finalise option - then fine, no problem.

However, I would like to add a disc name - 3 days ago this worked fine. I would go to disc management - then add name type in the name, then after the name is stored - I finalise the disc. Great.

Now though, after I type in the name - it says please wait - then the machine just switches off. It re-opens with an error message on the disc and fails to recognise the disc (that disc is now null and voided because it hasn't been finalised).

As I said, if I just finalise the disc without typing the name, it works great.

I wouldn't have thought its a dodgy disc because I have made 20 transfers perfectly using the same batch of discs.

Any ideas?

Could still be a dodgy disc, I also have a Panny machine ( one of the older ones ) and it took me a while to find a make of disc it was happy with ( Maxell ) But every now and then it still plays up, Wont finalise ect,

Try another recording and see how you get on with the next disc.
