Guys - I've had the most fab weekend in London shopping and gossiping with friends I have had to gut-wrenchingly forsake during the last 6 months of revision. I know who left on Saturday but did not watch the show at all. I timer recorded the whole thing and am about to settled down with a treacle pud to watch...
..but Oooooooh I can't wait to watch the kiddies dance!!!!
Bendymixer, I know it's a standard for dances, especially kiddie-dancers as when I was a little 3 year old I had these scarlet tap shoes (they're so beauteous I still have them) and did a routine to it in class - it's that, and the genius lyrics and their presence on the Strictly Ballroom film that made me choose it as my DS alias. None of us really think that anyone from the BBC had anything to do with it, I think perhaps you were missing the point slightly (but that's cool it's understandable as it's hard to detect the tone on threads sometimes)... everyone was just being lovely to me and saying that seeing the song made them smile because it reminded them of the forum and all the crazy randomness
Yes, I'm a little bashful at the (actually lovely) ego-massage that you sweet sweet people have done by saying such nice things, not just on this thread but in almost every thread I have had a decent discussion, or fabulous flight of fancy. It's been ever so tough doing exams and I'va had such support it helped me keep sane. It's my birthday on Thursday and I find out if I passed or failed my degree on Friday, and y'know, I just know that whatever happens - it will be ok

The Lady Boz put it exactly right.
*hugs to you all* and Boho, I understand, I've felt a little bit down sometimes but come back and borrow some of my skin... it's thick... and come be random, just for the last week at least
This forum for a while was very full of people being light and nice to each other and less critical, then there was a reaction to that, and ever since it seems to me that there are people who really felt this to be a safe and fun place to post on the internet who now feel threatened and a bit bullied sometimes - and lo and behold - since the anti-fluffy thing started: we have a warning from the Mods - I think that speaks volumes, frankly.
Anyway, I'm off to watch my video... and boy will I enjoy it as I will be free of the stressfulk "who will stay who will go" factor
Oooooh and you'll never guess, I got a letter with an A4 signed photo of Bill and Karen sat down at the end of their Viennese Waltz (Best Wishes Bill Turnbull and Happy Dancing Karen Hardy in silver marker) and a note saying "Enjoy!! with love from the "It Takes Two" team xxx"
Isn't that AMAZING?????
