Acoustic Solutions 32" LCD TV
Hi all,
Probably going to get one of these for the bedroom. Argos are selling them for a good price it seems £499 to be exact. Trouble is I can't find nothing on the make! The company's website doesn't list TV's, mainly HIFI equipment, I just wonder if anyone knew what Acoustic Solutions are like for electronics equipment and if it's a re-badged product or something? Here's the link to the TV in question: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...d%2Bvision.htm Is there anything I need to be aware of with this tv? Any help greatfully recieved

That looks pretty good. I was in Dixon's recently where 37's were going for £600, yet 42's were costing £1600!!!
Only thing with that one is it doesn't have removeable speakers ![]() I'm afraid I am no good for any help on the TV, but I do know that a friend of mine has a pair of the Mission-lookalike Acoustic Solution "tall" floor speakers set up to his AVR and they sound fantastic! Of course they are no Mission's but then they only cost about £125 - but I really like them! Seem very well made aswell. I would expect this creen to be a rebadged or recased product from another manufacturer to be honest. |

my sister has a goodmans 26inch lcd tv which is exactly the same as the 26 inch acoustic soloutions one and thats really good. the 32 inch acoustic solution i would expect to be the same just a bigger version (looks it), it is also the same as the crown one in woolworths for £100 more and the goodmans 32inch one in comet which is also £100 more so argos have got a bargain there

Yes, we noticed the 'Crown' one in Woolys too. It seems that Argos do have a very good deal here and I must add it runs out on Wednesday and will likely shoot back up to the £800 price tag. I'm collecting one today.

I have been thinking of getting one of these.
I read somewhere that the scart connections are both only normal, not RGB. Does anyone know where we can get some full specs of this set?? tris |

I've had my Acoustic Solutions DVD player for about 3 years now I think and it still works as well as it did when it first came out of the box.
It was a cheapo when I bought it but I was advised at the time that they were generally more reliable than Cyberhome and a couple of other unknowns. (ie. the shop got less AS players back than they did of their other cheapo brands ... lol) |

For fussy bugger's like myself, it will be less picture quality through things like DVD players, sky and consoles.
I know I may be a new member here, but I have been a member on the av forums for some years now, and am just 'broardening my horizons' so to speak ![]() Please let me know if any of the scarts have RGB input, it's usually scart 1, and should say either on or near the scart socket and definately somewhere in the manual. And if possible please post some pictures of all the connections and please post some screenshots too I know this may seem a lot, but it will let me know weather it is good for me or not and will be most appriciated ![]() Thank you very much in advance tris |

Anyone know the response rate for this set. e.g. 28ms, 17ms 8ms etc. This is the 1st thing I would look at when buying an LCD.

I have a DVD player from this company & to be honest it is very poor.
( having said that it was free with 72 mastheads from a newspaper) . How ever I found there help line fine. It just that it goes to black & white - hangs, wont take any notice of the order you put pics in it sorts them in a weird way but help line told me how to over come this I have to rename each pic! for the player!!!!- perhaps all players have these problems. Wouldn`t buy this brand with out really checking it out - "Which" perhaps |

As it is a rebadge, it might well be ok. It is the same as the Goodmans in the Argos Catalogue and the Crown at Woolies, so it is obviously made by Alba. My recommendation? Get it, try it out, you have your 16 money back guarantee from Argos, if you dont like it, and if it doesn't live up to your expectations, get it back to them and get the cash back. JC |

![]() No probs ukg, I stumbled upon this thread when I was helping a colleague at work investigate the tv as a potential purchase. She got it and loves it. She doesn't need, nor would she use an all singing all dancing hi spec tv and she says this is perfect for her. It was so easy to set up and her Sky looks great on it, she says. JC |
