Problem with Digital-only TVs?
I've been looking for a small TV for the bedroom recently. I was looking at some digital-only models when I suddenly thought of a problem.
In the living room I've got a PVR. The RF output is connected to a distribution amplifier which serves outlets in several bedrooms. The result is you can set a recording to play then go and watch it upstairs. It occurred to me that a TV without an analogue tuner would pull the rug out from under this arrangement. In fact, to use such a set-up will call for an analogue TV even when analoque broadcasting is a thing of the past. Is there any equivalent technology for distributing PVR output to other rooms? I wondered the same thing, the IDTV's I've seen all had analogue tuners as well but I won't claim to have seen them all

You could use a video sender. But that only transmits a Composite video, monaural signal and you would receive the same channel on each of the destination TV sets. These limitations may be sufficient for your planned usage though.
