I've been looking for a small TV for the bedroom recently. I was looking at some digital-only models when I suddenly thought of a problem.

In the living room I've got a PVR. The RF output is connected to a distribution amplifier which serves outlets in several bedrooms. The result is you can set a recording to play then go and watch it upstairs. It occurred to me that a TV without an analogue tuner would pull the rug out from under this arrangement.

In fact, to use such a set-up will call for an analogue TV even when analoque broadcasting is a thing of the past. Is there any equivalent technology for distributing PVR output to other rooms?

Is there really such a thing as a digital-only tv?

I wondered the same thing, the IDTV's I've seen all had analogue tuners as well but I won't claim to have seen them all

You could use a video sender. But that only transmits a Composite video, monaural signal and you would receive the same channel on each of the destination TV sets. These limitations may be sufficient for your planned usage though.

Maybe not. Humax made such a big fuss in their promotional pages about the LGB17DTT having "dual tuner" so I kind of assumed that others didn't. I admit that I didn't actually check.
