Does anyone know if the denon in question supports banana plugs; or is this just a silly question? Do all HI-FIs accept banana plugs?

I have the Denon DM33 - fantastic little piece of kit.

No banana plugs on that one.

Just clip connections - there are holes in each mounting block but they're too small for 4mm plugs. I've never been able to get my plugs to fit in to them so it's bare wires only.

I was just wondering cause I am going to buy some cable to link up my mission speakers (M30I) and as far as I know they support banana plugs. So when ordering a pair with both ends terminated with bannana plus shall i just chop one end off my self or request they do that when ordering. Can you recommend any speaker cable? I am particularly looking at: http://www.hificables.co.uk/ and the chord speaker cable.

I have an almost identical setup in the bedroom - whilst I love the system to bits it isnt the best in the world any any cable arround the £3/m will probably be good - you could get more expensive stuff but I just dont think you will hear the benefits. Something like QED Silvery Anniversary Micro or such

Err...correction. It's the Denon DM31 that I've got. Fantastic sound but the crappiest of crappy remotes. It cost less than a tenth of what I paid for the hi-fi in my living room but it punches well above its price. I bought it, without speakers, for £180 and coupled it with a pair of old Tannoy Mercurys.

As far as cables go I'd agree with Astaroth about the price cut-off point. The access holes in the DM31 are too small for any mega cables. If the DM35 has the same clip blocks, you won't get the benefit.

Does this answer the original question?

http://www.denon.co.uk/site/popup/in...nsicht&Pid=228

Click the second image down on the left for a rear view. Spring loaded speaker terminals.
