1471 on vodafone
Why is it that when i call 1471 it tells me the number then i press 5 to return the call and it says dialling now then it rings in that fast vodafone ringtone and it just repeats the number that called again?

Silly question - but do you have enough credit for the call to connect? Remembering minimum charge is 10p? x

Vodafone
Hi Steven, it's because you have insufficient or no credit available. NOTE: When returning a call using 1471 services on Vodafone, You will be charged standard rates and it will not be part of your bundle or Stop the clock. Quote:

Invalid
It's probably a number of payphone that does not recieve incomming calls or a sales call from a number that appears to be not in use. Quote:

But why would a payphone use 07771 numbers?

Payphones
Patientline uses 07 numbers for hospitals. Bedside equipment also use 07 numbers. It may be a BT payphone on an inter-city train, those payphones use mobile reception, since BT has made agreements with vodafone, they may now use the vodafone network. Quote:
