Second tuner not working - Please help me!!!

Hi there. I've had my Thomson DHD4000 for just under a year now but recently I discovered that the second tuner is showing 0% signal strength. In order to turn over the channel, I have to turn over whilest seeing a blank screen, and then I have to press standby on and off!

I've tried switching the power on and off and I've even done a re-scan but nothing seems to work. I don't wish to restore the software as I like the new features of the new one. Can anybody help me out here?

Thanks a million,
i8sky!

Ah...I had exactly the same problem when mine went down the first time Unfortunately I can't offer any help other than I had to send mine back to Thomson to get it repaired...as it's just inside warranty you shouldn't have a problem. They turned mine around in a week so are pretty good....

Thanks for that! Just one question tho, do you know what address I need to send it back to? I've had a look at the Thomson website and there's all sorts of various address' so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks again.

How curious. I started to read that post and though "01371" - that's Dunmow - that's the biggest town near where I live but in the 14 years I've lived there and done all my weekly shopping in Dunmow I can honestly say I've seen neither sight nor sound of Thomson ?!?

Wonder if it's one bloke working in his garden shed or something?

Cliff, I think you've hit the nail on the head! There seems to be only one guy at the repair facility that knows about DHD4000's and, as had happened to me, when he's ill THAT'S IT!! BTW they're based in Unit 1, Zone D, Chelmsford Rd Ind Est.

Dave,

Yup I looked up their address - that industrial estate is the same place I get my cars serviced and I still don't remember seeing Thomson there but I may have a cruise round to see what size of operation it really is (most of the industrial units are actually fairly big there)
