Connections Between JVC HD LCD AND JVC DVD CINEMA SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM
Hi, i have set up my jvc lt-26ds6bj lcd tv, along with the jvc th-r1 dvd digital cinema system. I also went out and bought a high quality expensive component cable and phono leads. Im quite confused on the best way to hook these up. Here is the list of things I want do be able to do:
Use cinema surround speakers for analogue and freeview. Play dvds using component cable. The tv has digital freeview built into it and I think it is because of this i am having trouble using the cinmea surround speakers when using dtv. When the dvd is hooked to the tv through component, and i configure the dvd to output component, i can navigate the audio source on the dvd player among the analogue stations and receive audio through the cinema system. However i am unable to get audio through freeview, the audio remains on the analogue channels. There is no setting i can find to allow it neither. Then, i read that component cables are analogue and so i thought about maybe its because of that, and the freeview is digital and cant get to dvd player? Anyway, so i take out the component cable and hook up an rgb scart straight from the dvd to the tv, and i find i can select l1 or something as the audio for the dvd, yay i was able to receive freeview audio, but it is about a second out of sync with the video display and also stutters. Can I use the component for freeview? and also is it the phono lead i need to connect somewhere to allow the dvd player to play audio from the freeview. Hope this makes sense, any help would be most appreciated. Thanks |
