this HAS to be THE gig of 2005 for me (and iv been too see Leeds Fest, Green Day, Jimmy Eats World and many more).
The atmosphere last night in Manchester was electric to say the least.

First band to play, Eagles Of Death Metal did well to get the crowd going and played a good set 7/10

Futurheads played a really good set with all of the singles and songs people know. oh oh ohh!! 8.5/10

Then it was time for Dave and his merry men to hit the stage! and did they in style, lazers, lights, full works, kicking off into the soon legendary In Your Honor, couldnt have picked a better song to start a great gig. im not going to go into the whole show because its best to be their to see it!!

Highlights were:
Everlong - beautiful song, hair standing on back of neck
Stacked Actors - guitar dual!!!!
Monkey Wrench
All My Life!!

They played all the classics and didnt play one bad song or leave any out, played songs from all 5 albums oh and one song Tylor sang and Dave played drums!!!!
10/10 if there is a better gig than this i want to see it, i dont think it will be topped for me!

If you ever get chance too see Foo Fighters live DO IT, you wont regret it at all. or go by the live dvd!!!!

Just looked at my pictures and videos of the gig very good even if i say so myself!!

saw them for the first time at the NEC on sunday - absolutely brilliant. Dave really is 'the nicest man in rock' - saying how nice it was that everyone came to see them, and what a lovely evening he'd had.

I saw them at Wembley last time around and they were superb. All of the reviews I'm reading on here and the official site just make me want to go NOWWWWWWWWW.

Earls Court last night: hit after hit after hit after hit after hit after hit after mother...

Bought tickets on impulse after reading this thread, only seats available not standing which was fine as I've got a problem with my foot. Thought it would be nice to watch the show sitting down. Guess what? Had to stand up for the Foos, surrounded by lunatics screaming along with the lyrics, girls behind us shouting "We love you Dave. We want to have your babies!" Dave ran from the stage down an aisle just in front of us to do the duelling guitars bit, people were reaching out and grabbing bits of him. Absolute bedlam.

Terrific show, great sound, great stagecraft. Hope the 45-year-old virgin got lucky.

Saw them Sunday night, seems a long way from seeing then at the Cambridge Corn Exchange

I know what you mean Inkblot, I had standing tickets, couldn't believe how many young girls there were, was worried I might of gone to a Take That gig at first.

Loved 'Stacked Actors'

Sunday night was the doggires nuts. I had seats just to the left of the stage and had a great view plus we stood for the entire set. I was so happy they played DOA as I believe it's the 1st time they've played it so far this tour. They have grown into one of the great rock bands who have as strong a set as any group. My wife came along with me and also loved the gig as it brought her back to her rock chick days.

According to The Times there were 18,000 people in Earl's Court on Saturday. That's 36,000 over the two nights which - even if some went twice - is a fantastic number of tickets for the band to sell in their own right.

Explains why the tube system fell apart afterwards, too.

generally like them, but does anyone think their latest single sounds like the lemonheads?

I saw them in Manchester last week, bloody brilliant!

Today I was reading the Echo and there was a little article about Taylor turning up at the Jacaranda in Liverpool (I assume it was last week), I really wish i'd been there!

Yeeeeeeeees :P

Saw them on the 11th, and totally agreed, absolutely unreal, and yes NR - Dave playing the drums is what I would most certainly call a highlight

The only qualm I have with that review is that the fifth star isn't filled in

I saw U2 earlier in the year and that was equally brilliant, but if I was going to go on the atmosphere for the gig, the Foos would win hands down. The crowd looked like they enjoyed every second, they sang every word and every note at deafening volume, and that's what a gig should be like - and a testament to how good the Foos are I think
