DMREH50 - RGB loop-through

Considering purchasing the Panasonic EH50.

Before I do, can anyone confirm whether an EH50 in standby will loop-through an RGB signal when connected to Sky+

OR will the EH50 have to be switched on?

If it is any help, the "60" does.

I think most recent Panasonic ones do (but read my caveat regarding loopthrough on the DMRES20D here: - Link )

Why don't you dowload the manual from www.panasonic.co.uk and have look at what it offers?

Can definitely confirm that EH50 will loop through RGB on standby. Excellent piece of kit, had mine for a couple of months. Remember to take scart from TV out on Sky+ to AV2 on Panny, then from AV1 on Panny to TV scart.

Just took delivery of a Panasonic DMR-EH50 and it is NOT giving RGB loop-through on stand-by. The manual suggests that it does but mine definatley does not. I have my NTL box RGB o/p connected to AV2 and my TV connected to AV1 via fully wired scarts. When the unit is on the O/P is RGB but when put into stand-by it is definatley not. I can be sure of this not only by the quality of the picture but on my Sony TV there are extra options when an RGB i/p is received, these are greyed out when connected to the recorder on stand-by.

The unit is multiregion but not sure if this is the cause. Anyone with advice if they have experienced similar problem.
