al explain...beech was arrested in a special six-part series about him after the australia incident and then escaped in The Bill before joining East Enders...he is out there and there has been word of him returning...is there any truth in this?

But ive seen pictures in 2004 of him talking to neil manson, it says that don beech offers to be DI Manson's informer

In return, Don made Neil promise him a transfer to a better prison. But during the transfer the SO19 convoy dropped them off to deal with a shooting. Don persuaded Neil to let him visit his girlfriend at her home, unaware that she had a gun. Don tied Neil up and knocked Phil out, and escaped with his girlfriend on a motorbike.

Don Beech can never return to the Bill as a full-time character unless the police change the rules and allow people who are on the run and are supposed to be serving life-sentences for murder, armed robbery, corruption, etc. can be coppers...
Although I know he can never comeback, another spin-off would be fab. Stanton would work with the current The Bill line up. Her and Jo would work well, plus it'd be good to see what Meadows and Mickey thought!

Because Walford is not set in a police station... Besides there is no way Jack would ever have him back on the team...
