Yes but he could still come back to be a short term or even long term villain (like Linda Bellingham was when she played Irene Radford for a couple of months). When he escaped I thought it was a bit wierd to just leave the storyline there. I mean Clare chased him all the way to Australia but when he makes a quick escape in Sun Hill nobody even tries to catch him. He has to return even if it is just for one episode. HE MUST BE CAUGHT! They could even bring back Clare to finish the job.

I don't think they should bring Don Beech back again. He had a little run of episodes when he was in Australia, and then he had a few episodes last year when he came back and escaped from prison. I think that story is done and dusted, and they should leave it alone. One of The Bill's current problems is rehashing old storylines, and doing yet more episodes around Don Beech will just continue this problem. The whole plot arc around Don Beech finished five years ago. It's time to leave it alone, and concentrate on new stories.

i was about to say that being in the hospital is nothing like being dead but as this user is banned then whatever

i'd actually like to see Cathy turn up in the cast of Bad Girls, having been deemed fit for trial, sentenced and then left to terrorize the G-wing inmates!

I would not mind him back for a few episodes but a full-time return would not work. It would be like Des coming back. You can not kill people and then return to the show as a copper. It would turn people off the show in droves.

Claire coming back would be good and that would work but Don Beech coming back full-time will not happen.

Well it's not as if they killed him is it but he would never be able to return as a cop simply because he's an escaped murderer!!!!!!!

Scriptwriters can be very persuasive so anything is possible.

As much as i would absolutely live for Don Beech returning to the Bill because he was such an amazing character and because billy murray is great, there's no way it can happen except for a short while if Don were to reappear. But since they've done that kind of spin off style thing twice before, i think its time to walk away from it and let Beech roam free forever as he should!

I can't wait to see what Billy Murray does next though though EE are insane for ditching johnny. Hopefully something that means we'll see a lot of him on the telly because i think hes brilliant.

Billy Murray has been asked to reprise his role as Don Beech for 11 episodes of The Bill.

He has said that he will only do it if they kill his character off this time.
