Is it the RDR-HXD910 that has dual freeview tuners ?

and the 710 only has one ?

Are these usable boxes at the moment, or are they so full of bugs they are near un-usable ?

Unfortunately there is no Sony product yet which comprises most people's winning package of twin freeview tuners, HDD and DVDR. The nearest is the Panasonic DMR EH60, which has HDD, DVDR one freeview tuner and one analogue terrestial tuner.

It seems that the big manufacturers are making us wait for that twin tuner killer package.

And it will probably not be released now until autumn 2006, when most companies launch their new products to take advantage of pre-Xmas sales.

But if you really can't wait the Sony 910 and 710 seem to be very good machines.

The Panasonic does have digital and analogue tuners but you can only record from one at a time.

Oh for gods sake !

I assume that must be to allow those who don't have a digital ariel to use the box.
