X Factor sector for chidren? Urgh!
What is Simon thinking of? Every venue will be beseiged by scores of precocious moppets with their ghastly mothers all thinking that their child will be their ticket to a pampered old age. I can't think of anything that would make me either vomit or turn to another channel more quickly.

Yep I agree.
I can imagine the mums dolled up to the nineties, spieling all sorts of BS, dragging their unwilling kid behind them and giving them a sly slap across the head whilst telling them to show some interest. |

They should create a category for pets/stray animals.

Somehow I can't see Simon doing this, it would ruin the show completely.

Simon Cowell will do anything now to get richer and richer and richer. His credibility IMO has gone right down the tubes. Tonight's bias proved it. |

They might as well just resurrect Junior Showtime.

Lol, 14-18 year olds wouldn't be that horrific, but I agree with whoever said the auditions will be filled with pushy parents and stage school kids. Apparently they are beinging Ben in to host the main show with Kate as well.....

The article actually says they've been tossing loads of ideas around, so this is just one of them. It's not going to happen, but it's just a way of them getting one of the more audacious ideas out to advertise the BIG SERIES CHANGE for X-Factor 3.

Gawd no!!
1. Young girls trying to look and behave like adult women. 2. Kids and their mums and dads - we'll end up voting for the parents' personalities. 3. Kids who wll be judged on their 'immature' personalities. 4. Kids who will be devastated during this process. 5. Stress and pressure not appropriate for young people who should be at flippin' SCHOOL!!!! The whole idea is disgraceful! |

Also, their voices haven't matured at 14, and they could actually cause permanent damage to their vocal chords.

It's a bad idea. I think it should stay at 16-years-old minimum.
