Andy "shell shocked"/ because Simon said Shayne had Xfactor?
Poor Andy, he DID looked shocked and upset while they were showing his highlights. Simon was wrong to say that "there were two performers up there and one had the Xfactor" when he knew he could sway the voting?

Obvious is an understatement. Contrived is only one word that comes to mind. Any others folks?

Andy wiped the floor with Shayne tonight, Cowell knew it and uttered the statement to compensate for it. |

Yep I agree with you Linda I thought Simon was out of order saying that Shayne had the X Factor, but I really don't think it swayed the public that much as there was only 1.6% in it anyway and 5 minutes later Andy could have been the winner.
I think they both performed equally as well

I remember being hammered on here for suggesting his treatment of the Conways showed him to be a terrible mentor. Tonight proved me right. He shafted 2 of his acts and did so with a smile. All for his already bulging wallet. Instea dof letting the chips fall where they may, he steered them in Dwayne's direction. The guy is a cynical turd of King Kong proportions. |

Don't people make their own minds up? ![]() His cynically delivered comments changed the atmosphere of the show, and in doing so did it in lots of people's homes. |

I know you didn't enjoy Shayne's performance of over the rainbow but many others did ... I thought it was fantastic and feel it was that performance that changed the atmosphere of the show. Its clear from looking on this forum that many other agree with me! I know many others also agree with you that Andy was better. Maybe you just need to accept that many people have different taste to you and it doesn't mean they are wrong or 'deluded' ...it just means they enjoy different things

As a judge, is it not Simon's job to give his opinion on the acts?

"You have the X Factor!" Voting still underway at the time!! Why not just say, you're the winner. It's what he meant. Absolutely disgraceful from him. |
