Well done to Shayne. A worthy winner in my opinion. I feel he'll even be a hit worldwide.

Andy, who I believe will still have a successful musical career, deserves praise too for being so magnanimous in defeat.

Journey South.........Well, I wish them the best.

All acts were excellent tonight, and I imagine it was a close call, but in my opinion, Shayne just pipped them at the final post, and was the deserved winner. Well done Shayne!

Congratulations to Shayne

I wanted JS to win, but I have to say all three acts performed brilliantly tonight and I can believe that the voting was close

I think the right person won in the end, 'Over The Rainbow' was excellent (and before anyone asks...NO I dont think Shayne is particuarly good looking, JS's Carl is more my type and Andy more my age )

I hope we see more of all three finalists

Well my favourite before tonight was Andy and after his performances tonight still was Andy.

Still congratulations to the winner Andy....oh I mean Shayne

Chico of course was my overall favourite but I knew he had no chance in hell to win the X Factor.

Well in a country where the super annoying Crazy Frog was No1 for a few weeks anything can happen.

I thought Shayne was definitely the deserved winner at the end.
The member of JS who usually played the guitar, was probably the poorest singer in the final, being able to harmonise well with the other guy saved them for weeks.
Andy will more than likely do very well for himself churning out album after album of Nat King Cole etc. covers. Similar to what G4 are doing but with different songs, obviously.
Shayne has a good chance of pulling the 'international star' thing off eventually. I will be a hell of lot of work, and may take a while. But as long as he doesn't end up doing lazy covers (in a very Louis Walsh manor), and get some decent people righting for him, it could be done. He looks every part the 'modern' pop star, with a great voice to match.
