Thank you, Mark.

I'm a big Shayne fan and have been annoyed and upset by all the criticism about not only Shayne, but also his family. I don't dislike JS or Andy. I wanted Shayne to win as he's always been my favourite on The X Factor.

Im not blaming JS fans....

Its just that when JS went out i was reading a thread which said vote for Andy because Shayne doesnt deserve to win which makes me feel they were blaming Shayne that JS went out.
The only sort of comments that annoy me is when people say he didnt DESERVE to win because no matter who would have won they would have all deserved it.

Shayne was tipped to win before the live shows even started.

He comes across as an arrogant chav, kept in the competition by young girls.

I don't think many people are.

Most posts I'm seeing are people who aren't keen on the style of music he tends to sing to.

If people don't like the boyband, 'Westlifey' stuff and find it very predictable and dull, then that's not really against Shayne as a person. It's more to do with people being unimpressed with that sort of music. If they find that sort of music dull and bland, that's just the way it is.
I don't think that many people are insulting him as a person.

to be honest, the same could be said of the fans of the others. Slagging him off because he won when they didn't like him..honestly!

I agree, it's tough on Shayne being slated for winning. He was, after all, the most likely winner all along.

The only real surprise is how close Andy pushed him tongiht, to Andy's eternal credit.

However, I will say this: Andy has taken a heck of a lot more stick than Shayne has over the last month or so, and I also think people are entitled to be disappointed and to express that disappointment.

Some people to deserve to win more than others.

I think Shayne eventually won because the 'It's my Goal' suited him better. I certainly think it was more his sort of song, and the voting gap widened to over 1 percent after they both performed it.

Not sure why I'm bothering to try and come up with some sort of genuine reason though. Nobody else is.

That's right. For me Shayne just doesn't have the x factor at all. He gets the notes in the right place and has a nice voice but he just hasn't got that extra something that draws me in. Nothing personal against the guy, he's just not affecting me at all.

Andy made me cry singing O Holy Night, I think he will do well.

Journey South have been my favourites throughout. They had the weakest songs this week. The first time ever I saw your face would have been a better choice than Let it Be, which they only sang last week.

It was obvious Shayne was going to win though, he has the teeny appeal.

I think that thread was started by and Andy fan (I could be wrong), but I'm a JS fan and I didn't vote for either Shayne or Andy after JS left. I am also not bitter that Shayne won. They were all awesome tonight.

But that's the point! You're quite sad if you don't like people criticising Shayne because he was your favourite! But I do agree that the criticism about his family is uncalled-for.

Lol - I wish! You are about 20 years out, so that throws your theory out the window! Silly person!

I agree - but I always thought JS was at a disadvantage, being a duo. So it proved.

Well I wish him well, not my cup of tea but can understand why people voted for him.

I'm fed up with the comments about the acts that have nothing to do with their singing or performance.

There must be at least 100 threads here slagging Andy off, and that doesn't include nasty comments made on pro-Andy threads....
