I am glad Shayne won!

Shayne was never ever a winner for me up until tonight. For some reason he had never made any sort of impact on me, I felt he was rather plain especially to the incredible singing voices of Brenda and Andy. The odd thing was, something happened tonight and it was when Shayne sang his final song. I thought it was exceptionally good and for me it was by far the best performance.

Andy was my favourite to win but I couldn't bring myself to vote because after hearing Shayne I was really torn between the two. Shayne has that X-factor as far as I am concerned and deserved to be the winner. He has versatility and can perform different material equally well and let's face it, he will be a hit with the younger generation on looks alone and of course those of you who like toyboys. while Andy albeit has a wonderful voice I don't think he is an all rounder. That being said though, good luck to Andy for the future, I know I would buy his records upon release, purely because he has that amazing voice.

As for the Xmas single, I am not too sure if I will buy it, maybe after I have heard it a few times, we will see.

i've just watched shayne's best bits
he is incapable of conveying feelings
when he sings, i'm distracted by the
hand moves he uses to keep pace
i've decided to re-christen shayne..
the singing metrognome winner xf2

Bearing in mind he is only 21 I think it's justified but that will come in time, if he is around long enough. However, like I said, when he sang his final song, I was actually blown away by his performance, he certainly showed feeling then.

There are people younger than Shayne who can do all that. I don't think it's the age.

Only 21? He's a feckin man for God's sake.

cf. What Wayne Rooney could ay 16 with what young Shayne can do at 21.

(Shayne fans may need to look up cf, or ask your teacher on Monday!)

Totally agree Vengie, and I've started really appreciating Shayne's voice in the last few weeks. I think he sounds better than he looks. He is still a little unsure of himself and can look a little wooden at times, but if you just listen to his voice, it's really beautiful and will get better and better with time and experience. I thought he was great tonight.
