I mean we've been watching for how many weeks now, and surprise surprise Shayne is the winner. The one they wanted from day one. It just seems like he was picked out as the chosen one ages ago and everyone else on the show was just there to make up the numbers!

I think it was a waste of time because none of the finalists were anything special IMO.

I'm with An4rew. I wouldn't have missed Brenda, Nick, Andy or JS for the world!

Well it depends.

I guess it could be taken as a waste of time if:

a) the person you wanted to win.....didn't

and

b) you're the type of person who doesn't handle losing well and enjoys spitting their dummy out on a public forum

Personally I enjoyed it

I enjoyed the show but I've always said that if Shayne won, it'd be a waste of time because there was no shock factor at the end.

It was a waste of time because nay pretence at impartiality was thrown out tonight by that arse Cowell.

Ruined the whole thing for me, and in my mind guaranteed Dwayne's family will be off benefits for a few months.

I didn't think the standard was very high this year and the bickering amongst the judges went a bit too far. Sharon and her throwing water trick is getting very boring.

I enjoyed every minute of every show and it doesnt really matter who won in the end becuase it entertained me for hours and weeks on end.

Yes, it was a waste of a time.

Surely that's a good thing isn't it?

Well obviously you're going to say that if your favourite won!

yes, especially nearing the end...it started off good..and i really got into it until 4tune went...but then i thought i'd give the x factor another chance and maria goes...then brenda!

but at the end of the day shayne won and he deserved it ( well out of the three finalists anyway)hehe

Simon Cowell had an act on the show tonight. They were Journey South. WTF did he say that was really positive about them. Answer = zilch. He sold his own act down the river.

He loved Andy but told Shayne he had the X Factor. The song was also written for Shayne's pictch of voice.

Say no more......we all know who Mr Cowell wanted to win this show.

Nope because we now have the biggest star of all CHICO

Shayne and Andy are pretty good too, so all's well that ends well

100% spot-on. Cowell's comments at key stages tonight were designed for one purpose, to get Shayne as much support as possible. Even with his own group still in the bloody thing he makes the ludicrous statement that Shayne's performance was the best of the series. Complete and utter bollocks.

His "X Factor" comment in the second half of the show was risible. I commented at the time on here that it highlighted the show was a total joke and a waste of 4 months of people's time. The winner was decided at the beginning.

Let's be honest, I had JS down as my 2nd favourites after Chico and although they were lovely guys after the first couple of weeks they sang out of tune every week.

They were lucky to be in the final, one of them with the longer hair (I don't know which is which) was very wooden

Have to say I agree and I cringed for them especially after the VT bit where Simon was assuring JS's mother that he would take good care of her boys and do right by them...poor woman looked like she took him at his word too.
