Can Erin win next year as in...

SCD 1 = 4th place
SCD 2 = 3rd Place
SCD 3 = 2nd place

Does she have it in the bag next year?

It depends who shes partners with.

Boag only has itself to blame. The choreography handed it to Gough on a plate. I bet "Yardhead" Du Beke had something to do with it.

It was over by then anyway.... I would like to see Erin win though.

I'd like to see Erin dancing with David Seaman in the next series.

Hang on a minute.

How can you say that Erin 'only has herself to blame and then bet that Anton 'had something to do with it'. Isn't that a bit of a contradiction? And what's a 'yardhead'?

It's fairly clear that this series of SCD has been Erin's best opportunity to win...Colin proved himself to be a gifted and adaptable partner from the outset, but I for one suspect that the result would have been against them regardless of the freestyle dance that they performed. Hopefully she'll come back again last year and show her quality once again.

She is an incredible dancer but her personality perhaps doesn't come over as being so friendly and open as some of the other pros. I doubt whether she will win next year and is likely not to be as lucky with her partner. I also very much doubt that a more showy dance would have made the slightest difference to the outcome.

Which is a shame, you should see her and Anton's site. She often replies to the guestbook and fans have sent her emails and she has replied the day after.

One fan sent her an email and she replied almost instantly. She's incredably nice in general. Just competative.

I imagine that after darren was in the bottom 2 with zoe a massive surge of votes from his fans came in and knocked erin and colin off the tops spot. I do not think it had anything to do with the freestyle dance. And don't start calling anton names- it's not very nice.

I hope she wins next year! She has always been my fave proffesional and I think she is really nice. Everyone should vote for her next year!!!!

Erin has done a wonderful job, in both the series of SCD I have seen & her & Colin did some wonderful dancing last night. Fine, their show dance didn't get thereaction they were hoping for, but they wanted to do something; i.e. show off Colin's ability to dance on his own, came up with an idea as to how to do this & went for it. It just didn't come off.

One point I think you've missed is that all three couples were on equal points, after the main program & the group V. waltz, otherwise Zoe wouldn't have been eliminated, there was no first & second at that point.

After that, it was purely the public vote that determined the winner.

Last year I thought she was really sweet with Julian. She seemed to work with him at his level... I really enjoyed watching them and I voted for them. Her personality was lovely with him last year. I agree this year she has seemed more determined and I guess paired with determined Colin it didn't leave as much leeway for her personality to be shown in a different light... perhaps.

Well she wouldn't win, but it would be hilarious if Erin danced with...

Johnny Vegas.

I always find something quite misogynistic about Julian. Nothing to do with sexuality. He just made some comments about certain women that were more disturbing than mere 'jokes'. He did work well with Erin, though.

I don't have any particular feelings towards/against Erin's personality but I think she's a very talented dancer in ballroom. I'll probably get slated for this but I think her latin leaves a lot to be desired- other than the rumba I think she always looks stilted. I do think that the correct female pro's were in the final this year and it all depends on the partner you get how much you can achieve. Mostly I think it is more difficult for the female pro's as men are far less likely to have gotten up and 'shaken their thang' in clubs etc and are more self-conscious about getting up to dance. It would be nice to see Erin win as she's been there since the beginning of the show and has got so close.

I think that is gonna be the case when u r a ballroom professional. I have to say I always noticed her Jives always look the same, especially Series1, Series 2 and last years Chirstmas Special.

I seem to remember reading an interview years ago that Steve Davis was learning to Ballroom Dance. When he was numero uno in the snooker world. One of the things he did to get him off the 'space invaders'. I do know he learnt the piano and I am sure I remember he was doing ballroom dancing next.

So maybe he might be pretty good for SCD.
