Nizlopi for Christmas No.1?
Obviously, X-Factor is odds-on for the Christmas No.1 but you never know the buying public!

I've already bought JCB for 79p off iTunes.
And I've bought the album from Amazon. On iTunes buying stats Today's Top Songs JCB - Nizlopi Today's Top Albums Half These Songs Are About You - Nizlopi JCB Single - Nizlopi And it's been like that for a few days, but I hope people keep on buying it this week. |

I'll be buying Shayne's song, and I have no doubts about him being Christmas Number One.

I would personally find it hilarious if the winner didn't get the number 1 Cowell and co so desperately crave. I felt the same way on Popstars: The Rivals where it was just assumed that one of the bands would get the Christmas Number 1.

Well, we have to remember that Shayne starts on Wednesday in the shops, so this gives other artists a chance to get a good head start.
I hope Shayne doesn't get to number 1, firstly so the bookies have to pay out, and secondly cause then it will be another X-Factor flop! Top Stuff |

Did they actually get the No 1? I know that Girls Aloud won the battle with One True Voice but I can't remember if it was No 1. I actually think Girls Aloud are in with a good chance of this year's No 1

Girls Aloud did get to Xmas no.1 with Sound of the underground, that was a really good song imo at least it was a change from the usual xmas stuff. I kinda like their new one aswell
, I prefer it to alot of the other stuff thats out anyway.

It's a shame there's no real proper competition like a Band Aid 20, but then I suppose Simon would never have timed the release this way if it was up against anything that could beat it (hence why he didn't do it last year?)

I am sure i read somewhere that last week the advance orders for this were huge and that it was already xmas number 1, even though it will only have 4 days in the shops compared to the 7 of all the others.

It's not like it was in the old days, where you had to sell millions to get a no. 1 slot. A few thousand ought to do it for Shayne! It's the albums that really count towards longevity, singles are just flavour of the month.

They are making sure everyone HAS to go out at get the song from a shop, as the record companies make far, far more money from CD's than iTunes. (As they do by putting up the song on their own site rather than iTunes). Cheeky buggers.

The Mirror ran a feature on this years Xmas number 1 last week....
They reckoned that the X Factor record would get to number 4 and Nizlopi would be number 1. |

However in a way I would love him not to get the number 1, just for the fact that it would 'P' Simon and Louis off But no chance of that as I believe it a foregone conclusion Shayne will.

![]() Shayne will most likely get to Number 1, The JCB Song is already out and will probably get Number 1 today, so whoever really wanted would have got it and that would give Shayne a bigger chance. The fact that you won a show watched by over nine million people sort of helps too.
