They do seem pretty gullible although I don't think Keith was convinced by the paper round, he seemed suspicious. But you would think they would ask more questions about where his money was coming from though.

They should have asked more questions but it wasn't in the script

Seriously though I wish my parents had been that gullible when I was a child. I would have been able to get away with all kinds

I think it showing more that they are not 'With it' and have to trust Darren about it.

I'm glad they're getting rid of the deadwood, they need to get some realism back in EE, say a Muslim family or some black people that dont have any brushes with crime whatsoever and work in the city maybe.

Yes that would be a good idea. I'm tired of all this gangster rubbish, lets get back to good old kitchen sink drama, it would be nice to see a Muslim family move in and see how the Ender's deal with them post 9/11.
See if Jim has changed, perhaps one of the family could have lost someone in the twin towers.

And they should stop getting their teenagers from the Sylvia Young School. Most of them are utter rubbish and never go on to anything else after they leave EE.

Oh yeah you're on the ball tonight.

Too right, they all seem to be the same, the casting needs a bit of a mix up to be honest. Some new blood perhaps some actors that haven't been to drama school.

EE is too much like the early days of Childrens' TV when only posh kids played parts of poor children.

Good episode tonight, the storylines aren't anything to get excited by though, I can't wait for this Juley and Ruby thing to be over and the end is in sight it seems. I'm just getting sick of seeing Phil pulling faces in the background, it's seedy and it's horrible and as a father (especially of a daughter) I don't know how Phil can do what he's doing.

I don't get why they feel the need to bring him back, just to kill him off

yeah i agree. there is no point in doing that now. if they wanted him dead they should have done that back in june when he set johnny's house on fire.

I think one of the main reasons Lacey Turner is so effective and so natural is because she doesn't come from a conventional drama school background.

Like all the best actors, she seems to be largely self-taught, applying her own technique, favouring emotional honesty over clever the facial ticks and tricks which an alarming number of actors think is "acting".

I think drama schools and acting schools often turn talented actors into bland automotons. I think what undermines Louisa Lytton is the stuff she was very likely taught at Sylvia Young. They seem to be taught alot about stage acting, but virtually nothing about screen acting.

I agree and if we have to suffer any scenes of him trying to be violent then it's just going to be laughable as he always came across as being very camp to me even though it was never within the role itself.

Hate to disagree but killing that annoying individual could be good viewing. ( doubly ashamed as it's Christmas )

Ah but he won't be killed off instantly, we'll still have to suffer having him on-screen alive for a while

Atleast it'll be good to know the character has been killed off when/if it happens though!

I think that EE is becoming what it was before the LB Error i mean era, which is good.
