Cumulative Voting?
Anyone think it would be a good idea to have cumulative voting on the next series so that the strong artists dont lose out on one bad performance and votes are carried over each week.
Also they should allow voting during the week aswell, since it was a shambles Brenda being voted out on a night when there was another voting programme on and only had 45 minutes(No i wont get over it lol ) when she had been in the top 3 votes each week. Then the finalists are the strongest contestants throughout the series.

In theory, it's a good idea but Andy had an amazing week in Week One, and could have suffered with this concept in Week 2. Maybe it's something to consider for when the judges stop the whole bottom-two elimination.

Cumulative voting would have been one option they could have taken in order to make the format different to PI and would have been fairer than the judges vote.
However I think their chosen ones, someone like Shayne, are more likely to have the odd off week than the more experienced performers. Subsequently, as the voting on many weeks showed, this could result in them not gaining many votes over a number of weeks and trailing by too much to catch up and this would not do, would it? |
