Disapointed!
Hi!
I'm so disapointed! I used to like this prog, but this years result has stopped all that! Last time, I didnt particularily like Steve, but was pleased he won on what I thought was the public vote. This time, nah cant believe that! Maria was ousted early because she was the most obvious competion to Shayne. Then Brenda had to go, becuse it might have looked odd if she lost to Shayne. Andy was the least favourite going into the final, so guess what, he got to go head-to-head with Shayne! I have a 13 year old son, who buys the popular mags for that age group. Shayne is all over them!(none of the other contestants are) They might have least have waited till it was official he had won! Sorry, but this was so obviously fixed I wont be watching it again (let alone voting) I dont think any of the contestants had the X factor this year, but it would have been nice if Chico won - at least he was entertaining! |

I'm speaking as someone who would have preferred Andy to win here. I'm also a fan of conspiracy theories, and don't believe for a second that there was ever only 1% in it. But ...
On the magazine issue - if I was edited a teenage magazine I would be giving prominence to Shayne over Andy, simply because I think he'd sell more copies. He's clearly a better fit for the teenage market. Maria and Brenda both suffered from being female - the teenage girl audience was never going to vote for them. And Chico would have been a nightmare. Come on, he was fun for a bit, but as a long term recording artist? |

And Steve Brookstein had a great career as a "long term recording artist"?

Hey, you know that moon landing. Never happened. All done in a TV studio it was.
I do enjoy these Pop Idol/X Factor/Fame Acadamy boards in the weeks after the final you know. |

You'll be telling me about some sort of conspiracy in the JFK killing next! I'm not really a conspiracist, but this show was so obviously FIXED,not rigged, I'm surprised they have been allowed to get away with it! |
