Picture and captions error
Geeny
18-12-2005
While Zoe and Ian were dancing why was there a frozen image of Erin and Colin stuck on screen and why when the last two were left did the caption read vote for Zoe or Darren and Colin was missed off this was after Zoe was out
I know Darren was most improved but this put us off a bit and detracted from thinking the final was strictly fair and even

You mean, subliminal messages were used to increase Erin's vote?

No matter how sophisticated the equipment becomes, it still requires the Mk. 1 human being to operate it, so cockups sill happen. Fact of life, I'm afraid.

Its obviously what the licence fee is for. If that sort of error happened where I worked people would want a refund. I actually question how much of an error the captions were is it not just what was prepared because everyone would assume Erin and Colin would be out. The picture errors helped no couple but Darren. Now dont get me wrong theyre a lovely couple Im just being my cynical self but if I think it other people outside the forums may too and this isnt a good image

Did anyome read about the stock exchange worker on the news last week? He leaned over to pick up a cup of coffee, inadvertently pressed a button and accidentally bought a small oil company. It's absolutely true!

They probably had captions prepared for every eventuality & someone just pressed the wrong button. Nothing sinister, no evil plot & no rigging of the vote, simply a mistake.

Perhaps too much Christmas Sherry being drunk

I like that story.

And how many of us have accidently sent an email to the wrong person at work which says something wholey inappropriate. Or is that just me?

It's actually called "fat finger syndrome". The recent case involved a Japanese finance chappie who inadvertantly sold off multiple billions of yens worth of stock for virtually nothing. The financial institutions who made a killing by buying at a fraction of the price, and therefore profiting hugely, are being asked for the money back. "Fat Finger Syndrome" - isn't that what Arlene was accusing Darren of!!!

I sincerely doubt it was something sinister behind it!

Just an innocent mistake! Suprised there are not more being a live show!
