Simon said Shayne's "Over the Rainbow" was the performance of the series - I have to agree.

What other performance's stood out for everyone?

I liked all of Brenda's songs, JS's "Angels"

And Addictiv Ladies "Superstar" because it was so awful!

Have to Disagree with Simon, Brenda singing "I will always love you" was by far the best performance by anyone, followed by Andy with " The greatest Love of all" IMO anyway

I take whatever Simon says with a large pinch of salt, the timing of any of his comments are to manipulate the GBP and to increase revenue.

Performance winner has to be Chico, he was the uncrowned champion performer of X Factor 2005.

Shayne - I Believe In A Thing Called Love
JS - Angels
Chico - Hero (How cringeworthy) oh and It's Chico Time
Andy - Me & Mrs Jones
Brenda - I Will Always Love You
Maria - Your Beautiful

For me, Brenda's 'I Will Always Love You' was the most memorable performance of the series.

Best vocal performance (for me anyway!) was Shayne`s SWOTR.

Best entertainment performance was Chico`s "Chico Time!".........made me smile.

Me too - and everything else she sang. She will be the most long-lasting success of this programme as she appeals to a wider audience. Shayne will only appeal to the teeny boppers and that interest will soon wain once they grow up!

Well, I`m not a teeny bopper and Shayne quite appeals to me.

I think Shayne could be very successful. He has a manager who cares about him and a record company that thrive on making money. Good luck to the guy.

For me, it was JS 'Candle In The Wind'. They proved that night what talented guys they were. Everyone else paled in comparison to them, IMO.

Yes - but Shayne has a much wider appeal than Steve. He doesn`t look like some lounge lizard, for a start.

But you`re right: time will be the judge.

For me, two performances were the performance of the series and they were Lately and The Greatest Love of All by Andy.

You're beautiful by Maria comes close too.

Chico-time was the funniest performance! Not as a singing factor but for entertainment! You either laughed or you threw something at the telly, either way - It was comedy!

I liked Shaynes "Over The Rainbow", JS's "First time ever I saw your face" and Maria's "Beautifol" although the highlight for me was every week when Brenda stopped "singing".
