Mobile Charging

Hi all.

With the modern mobile phones, (o2 x3, Motorola v545, SET610, and SEK750i), is it damaging to charge them overnight, every night, even if they aren't fully depleted?

The reason I ask, is none of my family are good at time-keeping when charging mobiles, and usually will forget to charge it and would be contact-less.

The reason I ask is my dad's company phone, (which has an in car charger) never seems to have any problems.

Thanks guys

You are fine to charge your phone overnight - alot of people do - I always have.

Once your phone reaches maximum charge, no more power is consumed by the battery meaning it cannot be damaged. It should say this somewhere in the user manual.

Hope this helps

Again, it shouldn't be a problem.

It is recommended that every so often though that you let the battery completely discharge (to a state where the phone wont even switch on) - although I'd consult your user manual first.
