Reformed Irish rockers The Pogues have stunned promoters in New York City, after selling out three of four nights at the new Nokia Theatre almost as soon as tickets went on sale.
The March shows, which will be first featuring the group and singer Shane MacGowan will conclude a nine-night tour across America.
The group re-released their Christmas single Fairytale of New York in Britain on Monday in a bid to raise funds for homeless charity Crisis at Christmas.
Some monies from the single sales will also go to the Justice for Kirsty campaign, which is working to find the parties responsible for Kirsty MacColl's 2000 death in a powerboat accident. MacColl joined The Pogues on the original hit.
