Is it true this song is about Carnoustie?
I know the lead singer is from Carnoustie, and my 2 mates from Carnoustie insist that it is. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard this?

When I saw Idlewild in concert this year (the first time - I went twice ) Roddy announced before singing this song that it was about feeling trapped in his hometown in Scotland. So yes, I guess your mates are right.
