If you have a look on the Pioneer UK webpage you will be able to download the full manual for the machine. It does explain all the features of the machine in full. In fact t is the same manual you get with the machine.

I have the 530 which is exactly the same as the 630 apart from the size of the HDD. As yet I have not created a DVd as I only got the machine two days ago.

I shall be using it for making DVD's from Sky+, plus all the other things it will do.

I have the 433 which is 80gB version of the same family without guideplus. It creates a simple menu system from a selection of about 8 different types. You can title the disc and recordings, divide recordings, create chapters, combine, delete sections, BUT I have not been able to create sub menus!

One point, the DVD created will auto run the first program on the menu when inserted in a DVD player, rather than go straight to the menu.

Enjoy!

The last point has been discussed on other forums before and whether the created disc plays on insertion or goes to the menu first depends on the dvd PLAYER.
I have a top end Pioneer player which goes to the menu immediately, yet the Pioneer recorder its recorded on will play title one without the menu.
The only makes of set top dvd recorder to allow sub menus are Toshiba
