The Sun will run the 'exclusive' as front page news tomorrow.

He has quit as Fred Elliott

His departure might have something to do with that Orchid woman he fell for a couple of months back. Shes back in 3weeks.

Oh no, I say, oh no - it took me ages to learn to like Fred and now that I actually do like him, he's leaving.

Anyway, the story in the Sun is here

Oh no, I love Fred. I'm gonna miss him so much.

I guess this means a complete change in the Rovers now as both the manager and landlord are leaving.

Like I said, believe it when it happens. Not cos a tabloid says it's gonna happen.

I hope its not true. Hes an amazing actor but I can appreciate why. The character has become a little tired but I had such hopes for him and Bev.

Oh well.

I like Fred, and he is one of my favourite characters. He seems a little tied to Ashley and Clur, though.

What a sad moment, I say, what a sad moment if Fred was to leave. He is undoubtedly a fine actor.

It's a shame he's decided to go. They're already losing Johnny Briggs next year-two big characters in one year isn't good for the show. Problem is, if John says he does'nt want to return they may well kill his character off.

He probably made a passing comment to someone that, as usual, gets blown up out of all proportion by tabloids who make a habit of making vague comments into definite happenings!

And you're the kind of people tabloids aim for. Believing what they say without wondering if it's actually true before you've already got Fred gone from the screen!

Have you actually heard him say that or are you going by quotes from a tabloid from an anoymous donor?
