Dial a Phone / 02 Line Rental Refund

Hi

I just claimed the first refund on my sons D500 and received a letter from Dial A Phone that the credit will be applied to his phone account and not my bank account ( I guess I didn't take my own advice and read the very small print )

We also have a 3 phone through DAP and the monthly line rental refund is credited to my bank account every three months.

My son is on the 02 200 tarriff where he gets 200 inclusive minutes and 100 free texts and will never use the £200 that will be credited over the life of the contract so

I guess the only way to get the money back out of 02 is to cancel the DD and use up the credit on the bill account , is this ok to do or can you request a refund at the end of the contract for unused credits on his account ?

Anyone offer advice ?

Hi

so you reckon I should leave the DD set up and effectively they wont take any money as the account will be in credit...?

Is it that simple ?

Yes...you should continue to receive a bill but this will show a decreasing credit. When the credit has all been used up, then any outstanding money will be collected via the existing DD.
