I got a MP3 this x-mas. But I can't seem able to import music onto it.
The manual says use windows media player. I did but I'm stuck on setting a unit as a destination? I mean the the heck? How do I do that? Please can someone help me here, I'm a virgin . . . Please help. |

Most MP3 players appear as a drive in My Computer, to which you can just drag your files...
But we're gonna need to know what MP3 player it is before we can say for sure.

Like luvsnail said once you've connected it to your PC with the USB cable it should automatically be detected (assuming you have XP) and appear as another disk drive in My Computer under Removable Storage. You should then be able to Right Click on the drive icon and set it to open as a Portable Media device. You can then use Synchronize in WMP to copy files to it. (Spent the last few days doing this for my kids and other half who got MP3 players for Xmas)

. (Actually, that's coming from someone so cheeky that she throws all her instructions to the ground first thing after she opens some gadget).

first rip any tracks on cd you want on it
then click on sync on left of the screen should be the list of tracks you ripped right click then click on add to /sync list when done start sync easy peasy oh dont forget to plug in the mp3 , some require turning on some dont you should get a wizard first time follow the instructions and insert the driver disc if prompted |

Windows Media player has too many big words that I have no idea what they mean like 'sync'- How the blooming heck was I to know that this word 'sync' means to put music onto my player? They could have just named it MP3 Player converter, then I would have known. Silly Billy Gates. |
