Would you feel disappointed if you'd not been given a Dalek story?

not really. The cybermen were the scariest for me as a kid. I barely remember the Daleks other than Davros.
Who's to say he won't get one in the next series?

Think it was said a while back, might have been when David Tennant took over the role, that the 10th Doctor would encounter the Daleks, just not this year, but since then rumors and the season 2/28 press release have suggested we could see Daleks this year, so who knows when, but he'll get his Dalek story.

I think he'll get a Dalek story. I remember back when Peter Davison took over, the powers-that-be made a big fuss over the fact they wanted to stay away from the "traditional, well-known" monsters, yet even he got his Dalek story (Resurrection... IIRC)

Arguably, they even appeared with Paul McGann - they exterminated the Master at the beginning.

So, whether they appear this season (which I'd be disappointed with, cos it would obviously just be a ratings exercise) or next, those snot-filled pepper pots'll be back...
