That has either or both Optical Digital Input or Coaxial Input for connecting to your DVD equipment? I'm not looking for anything to big or with too much wattage I have a smallish room and struggled to find any systems which have my connections needs. Most I can find have the 6 phono method for connecting.

i have one of these http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...%2Bsystems.htm which i think is great, it has both optical and coaxial inputs and L & R phono inputs, also includes 2 speaker stands which is a bonus

Cheers for that may take a look. Someone also mentioned to me its possible to connect an amplifier between the DVD and Sound Systems to overcome the problem of converting an optical or coax connecting to the phono type. Is this correct? My father has just got a new dvd with optical and coax ouputs but his sound system is phono and it would be a shame to have to bin it to get a new system. Also he has these new surround sound headphone things that require phono as well.

Had a look at that Acoustic Solutions system has just what I need. However my only slight gripe that puts me off it is that the seperate speakers are now wired into the subwoofer/decoder and are not phono connections. Ideally I want an Amp/Sub/Decoder that has optical/coax inputs and optical/coax/phono outputs.

Finally found what I'm looking for:
http://www.creative.com/products/pro...uct=9468&nav=1 Its a decoder made by Creative Labs I can connect all my DVD, TV, Satellite and Games Console to the one decoder and output it to one speaker system. In my case it'll be those headphones as my room isn't large enough for surround sound speakers positioned all over. That Decoder seems to be just what I need the solution to my problem. |

Whilst I am not a fan of the company it may be worth looking at RicherSound (online or in a store)
They sell (predominately) end of line or recently replaced equipment at heavily discounted prices. Given your exeptionally small budget you will almost certainly get a better sound from a £200 system released 6-9 months ago to a £100 system released 3-6 months ago (though if it is from Argos then it probably came out from over 6 months ago) |

Guess these would do the trick as well, mentions it has decoder and and an amp. Might be a better option then the Trust ones. |
