Heard their "bluegrass" cover version of motorhead's "ace of spades" just before christmas and it's absolute genius !!

it's seriously the funniest thing i've heard in ages - and even more so as the original is a favourite of mine.

they've covered a lot of AC/DC stuff and also Dr Dre's "Gin and Juice" which is genius as well.

I urge everyone to get hold of "ace of spades" and try - just try - resisting the urge to yell "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!" at the top of your voice when you play it

Yes I must admit they are a good band and very funny with it.
Try if you can to listen to their version of The Darkness "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" and keep a straight face while doing so!

I have 2 of their albums

"A tribute to AC/DC"

and

"Let There Be RockGrass"

If you are a huge AC/DC fan go for the "A tribute to AC/DC"

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...528110-5431631

They also did a KISS tribute album, but im not a huge KISS fan so i've never bought it

They are brilliant, i've seen them twice in inverness over the last year

I first heard them on Radio 2 - their version of Centrefold is just fantastic.

I've got Let There Be RockGrass and it's definately worth picking up.

I'm all for a bit of musical comedy, but you have to draw the line somewhere. Covering Comfortably Numb is just not a done thing. Just ask the vast majority of Scissor Sisters haters why they hate them so much.

Oh i agree, its the best song ever written but the Hayseed dixie version is so different its brilliant.
I nearly cryed with sadness the first time i heard the travesty that was the scissor sisters cover!!

Their KISS tribute album "Kiss my grass" is also a good listen. You can't beat a good bluegrass cover!.

Although I did once confuse a guy in hmv. I was talking to my friend and said something about them probably not having an "awesome section" and that if they did, it wouldn't have hayseed dixie in it. A helpful assistant overheard and promptly walked me over to the "awesome" section he apparently set up and handed me an AC/DC album. I didn't want to embarrass him so I just stayed there and looked interested until he looked away. My friend didn't even do that much and just walked away laughing

They are brilliant, Chris Moyles went through a phase where he played some of their stuff and it was very popular!
